DDM is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, with strong ties to Sweden. The company was formed in 2007 by a group of individuals that had previously successfully built a similar company. DDM's management team has more than 50 years of combined experience in the distressed asset market and has overseen several thousands of transactions in more than 25 countries.

The management team has through its deep industry experience developed state-of-the-art processes for analysis, pricing and management of the acquired portfolios as well as methods on how to partner up with leading local collection agencies in order to optimise collections from each portfolio. DDM also has access to a portfolio management, business development, servicing and technology platform that it launched during 2019. Consequently, DDM has developed a successful business model allowing for flexibility, automated processes and speed in decision-making.
